My work explores themes of resilience and individuality, often through the lens of nature's powerful forces.
This piece, titled "Windswept," is a portrait of a twisted Monterey Cypress and serves as a self portait by proxy.
This tree, sculpted by relentless coastal winds, embodies the spirit of standing alone and finding profound peace in its unique form. It represents the beauty and strength found in embracing one's own distinct path, even when that path deviates from the expected.
The cypress, weathered and enduring, serves as a reminder that true strength lies not in conformity, but in the unwavering acceptance and celebration of self.
Through this work, I invite viewers to contemplate the beauty of individuality and the quiet power of inner peace, even amidst the storms of life.
Production & Shipping
Shipping is always free
(yes, even the big ones that come in a box!)
When you order a limited edition print, the process to your door is about 10 days.
Your order will be hand printed, signed and numbered. This take me about 3-4 days. I need to make sure everything is perfect and dried completely. From there, another couple of days for framing. Then packed carefully and shipped to your door (for free!).
You'll also receive a certificate of authenticity for your print. Many people simply tape this to the back of the frame for ease of finding it. This will not decrease the value of the print if it ever goes to auction, etc.
I normally use Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 as my go to printing paper. It's not cheap, but gives you great details, is 100% cotton and museum quality and has no optical brighteners. It's a heavy paper so expect to be able to see the texture of the print in the frame. These paper is what's hanging in the museums and galleries that I'm featured in.
